Epic

    This is a great site for stories to read at home! They have tons of new options that are both chapter books and short stories. They can read the stories to you as well. It does cost 4.99 for at home subscribtions, but if you have a shortage of books at home it is worth it!

 

Star Fall

    You choose the level which your child is on and they will have many different books that they will read along with your child. There are also games, music, and different other activities that go along with that reading level.

 

Magic Tree House

    If your child loves the Magic Tree House books this is the place to go! This website has games, reading activities, and previews of the book. The students can also keep track of which books they read and create their own Magic Tree House.

 

Poetry:

Poetry for Kids

  This website goes through many different poems that kids can read. There are also many poetry games and videos. You can choose a poem based on students reading level and interest. 

 

Theme Poem Creator

   This website is a poem creator based on a certain theme. You student chooses their theme, creates words that remind them of the theme, and then finishes a poem. The poem is then put on a picture that is printable for the student. 

 

Spelling:

Spelling Practice

   Here you will type in the spelling words for the week and they will give you games, worksheets, practice tests, and flash cards that you can use with your student to practice their spelling words. 

 

Sight Word Spelling

   This website will help the student with practice how to spell different sight words! You click on the grade and they go through the Dolch sight words in a fun and exciting way!
